“No, Jen! Go on and intern at Horizon Industries! They’ve got the latest tech, you sure won’t be doing busy work!” Jennifer grumbled to herself as she put yet another toy into the replicator.
Granted, the technology itself was really cool stuff--prototype cloning but in a different way. The idea was pretty simple, since matter couldn’t be created or destroyed, the ray simply converted something from one form to another. You put something in the replicator, fired up the beam, hit a target, and poof! Perfect copy.
